How To Install Blutext On Your iPhone

Welcome to Blutext! Thank you for choosing us for your texting needs. Please follow the steps below to successfully set up your Blutext account on your iPhone device.

*Note: Be sure to download Zoom Workplace for iPhone prior to the meeting so our time is spent with the installation of Blutext on your device.

To help minimize "eye twitchery", we highly recommend using both your iPhone and Laptop when installing Blutext on your iPhone.

1. iPhone - to install Blutext

   • Be sure to open this article on your iPhone browser so you can access iPhone specific links and app information.

   • You will need the iPhone "Shortcuts" app to complete the Installation.

Caution: Make sure the Shortcuts App is installed on your iPhone PRIOR to installing Blutext or you aren't going to have a good time.

2. Laptop - to read and follow the installation instructions.

On your iPhone Device, open your email app associated with your Blutext account and open the "Welcome to Blutext!" email. Scroll down the email and copy the Blutext ID (aka API Key). You will need it for a step below.

*Note: Do not use the example Blutext ID.

On your iPhone Device, tap the blue "Install Blutext Shortcut" button just below.

*Note: This will direct you to the iPhone Blutext Shortcut.

Once the Shortcut is installed, tap the app to open it. you will see a blue "Blutext" tile at the top of the page, and a blue "+ Add Shortcut" button at the bottom. Tap the blue "+Add Shortcut" button.

• Tap the ellipsis aka kebab menu at the top right of the Blutext tile.

• Paste the Blutext ID you copied in step 1 into the middle text field. Then tap the blue "Done" prompt at the top right.

Tap on the "Automations" clock icon located in the middle on the bottom of the "All Shortcuts page."

From the "Automation" page, tap the blue "New Automation" button. Next, tap the "Time of Day" so the blue checkmark is applied.

• Set the "Time of Day" to 9:00 AM.

  • The system will automatically run from 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM (10 hour window.)

• Tap "Daily" to select and add the blue checkmark.

• Tap on "Run Immediately" to select that option and add the blue checkmark, then tap "Next" at the top right of the screen.

• Texts trigger within approximately 10 minutes of the scheduled time.

  *Note: Leave "Notify When Run" toggled off (to the left.)

The Installation will update to show you "At 9:00 AM, daily" at the top of the page, and the Blutext Shortcut tile just below.
